After the release of her debut EP Towards the End — one of Exclaim!'s 32 Most Anticipated Canadian Albums of 2022 — earlier this year, Katie Tupper has announced a run of Canadian tour dates for the summer.

The soulful Saskatoon native — who today, returns with sultry new single "Honey" — is heading to Edmonton's Station on Jasper on May 13, before making stops in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Saskatoon and Regina. A handful of the dates see her opening for Montreal's the Franklin Electric.

Drawing inspiration from a friend dealing with a relationship that had run its course, the new single is about the standards we hold ourselves to after a breakup. "It made me think of all the rules of relationships and how we think we need to act or feel a certain way after a breakup," Tupper explained in a release. "You can be totally happy and fine after a relationship ends and if the rules of post-breakup life don't feel right, you don't have to act that way."

Tickets for the singer-songwriter's tour are now available here.
