Toronto rapper/singer Tory Lanez has announced that he'll be dropping The New Toronto 3 next month. The upcoming project marks the third in a mixtape series, following 2015's The New Toronto and 2017's The New Toronto 2.
It follows Lanez's most recent release, Chixtape 5, which just arrived late last year.
Lanez announced the forthcoming project on Twitter and also revealed that it will be his final release for Interscope Records. He added that there was no bad blood with the label, noting that he'd put out 12 projects on a five-album deal.

Lanez did, however, admit that he hasn't been releasing the music he wants to make for the last few years, dropping stuff that "would get you by" and only putting in 60 percent effort.
I haven't dropped the music that I REALLY wanted to for the last 4 years. I just freestyle'd shit and songs that WOULD GET YOU BY ,up untill i said fuck it "i gotta atleast go 60 % or they gone start thinking I'm super trash then boom "CHIXTAPE 5" but this should be fun tho 😈🤯 https://t.co/m9LWpNWFAp

It definitely sounds like there's more material on the way after The New Toronto 3, but we'll have to wait to find out exactly what that entails.
Stay tuned for an official release date and further details on The New Toronto 3.
Lanez is also slated to perform at the Juno Awards next month. They take place on March 15 in Saskatoon.
