Published May 09, 2016Though they've come up in the wake of modern pop-punk bands such as the Story So Far and the Wonder Years, Brantford, ON's Harbour look to the past for inspiration. A year-and-a-half since their Grade School Summer EP dropped, it's about time we got a taste of their future.
While Grade School Summer chugged along with the frantic energy of early Blink-182, "Life" lands closer to the Starting Line but doesn't lose the former's riff-based approach. It's kind of like the transition from Rufio's Perhaps, I Suppose to MCMLXXXV: the shred remains, but it's just integrated more smoothly.
With this newfound maturity, vocalist/bassist Jamie Mittendorf moved beyond their previous material's fixation on ex-girlfriends to accept that, while life can suck sometimes, it is what you make it.
The band are currently making their way out east before swinging through Quebec on their way home. Take a listen to "Life" in the player below.
