The rules for this project are simple: "Pick a Nickelback riff and play it. One take, no revisions."
The project was hyped up to fans by Chad Kroeger and The Guy from Nickelback Who Isn't Chad Kroeger, both dressed like Old Navy models in their respective home studios.
We had a friend tell us about the #NickelbackRiffChallenge. Here are the rules... 🎸 Pick a Nickelback riff and play it. One take, no revisions!— Nickelback (@Nickelback) March 23, 2020
🎸 Post the video as a reply to this tweet and tag a friend to challenge them to do the same. Let's see what you got! pic.twitter.com/fnrhDJxv3x
Honestly, even if you're one of those basics who still pretends to hate Nickelback, hearing their riffs out of context only solidifies how much these boys can shred.
And the fans certainly obliged. Watch some videos of the #NickelbackRiffChallenge below.
Hey Ryan! I am doing this from France, it's 1.a.m here so couldn't quite risking plugging the amp without my mom killing me! Hope you'll like this quick version of one of my favorite song 🎸 pic.twitter.com/bjH0ndAmZA— Acrone (@louison_gomez) March 23, 2020
Flat on the floor, one of my favourite songs I also wanted to do because of you but flat on the floors has just a better riff in my opinion\m/ (sorry if the audio sucks) pic.twitter.com/rOnG90m59Z— Makethematt (@mattgallant8) March 24, 2020
