Published Jul 27, 2020Yet once again, we have a new release plan for Christopher Nolan's Tenet. And yes, we are as tired and confused about this whole thing as you are.
After changing its mind a million and one times, Warner Bros. issued the following statement today about Tenet:
Today, Warner Bros. announced that Tenet will open in over 70 countries worldwide starting on August 26. Major territories will include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The film will open in the United States over Labour Day weekend in select cities."
So there you go, yet another release plan — that will probably just get changed and postponed again for the millionth time.
When postponing the film indefinitely just the other week, Toby Emmerich of Warner Bros said, "We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that."
To refresh your memory, Tenet is described as "an action epic from the world of international espionage," and its cast includes John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
